  • A takeover series by Andriy Shurpin & Valerie Sagura

Andriy Shurpin & Valerie Sagura are a team of Kyiv-based still life photographers, whose work consciously explores the tension between imperfect forms and refined aesthetics, embracing natural friction over polished perfection.

In a new series for AÃRK titled ‘Changes over time’, the duo delicately explore the imperceptible changes that undoubtedly occur every second, even when it seems as though time has come to a standstill.

“The idea was to show how time influences and transforms: how some things fade and become dull, while others are given new life.”

Shared during a week-long takeover on Instagram @slowly.joe and @_sagura_ share a visual reflection on transience, transformation, and the hidden beauty of decay.

Alongside this we spotlight ‘Flowers experiment’: a personal study of flora and their fleeting silhouettes. Captured in dramatic lighting, the images reveal bold contrasts in shape, texture, and impermanence.
